Planning Commission
The Sierra Vista County Planning Commission reviews land use applications, environmental assessments, subdivision maps, and general plan amendments for all unincorporated areas of the county. The five-member commission is appointed by the Board of Supervisors and meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 9:00 AM. The Commission serves as the primary advisory body on development in unincorporated areas and makes recommendations on the county's long-range general plan. Members bring expertise in engineering, environmental science, urban planning, and community development.
