Alan Griffith

Alan Griffith has served as Planning Director since 2019, overseeing land use planning, building permits, code enforcement, and environmental review for unincorporated Sierra Vista County. He manages a department of 35 staff and leads the county's general plan update process. Griffith holds an M.A. in Urban and Regional Planning from Cal Poly and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). He previously served as a senior planner in San Luis Obispo County.
