Richard Harmon

Richard Harmon has served as County Administrator since 2021, overseeing all county departments, a workforce of approximately 2,800 employees, and an annual budget of $320 million. He previously served as assistant county administrator in Santa Barbara County and as a department director in Ventura County. Harmon holds an M.P.A. from the University of Southern California and a B.A. from UCLA. He is a credentialed member of ICMA and focuses on organizational effectiveness, fiscal sustainability, and intergovernmental coordination.
